AQUALINE SWIM CAPS

OUR COLLECTION

LYCRA SWIM CAPS

LYCRA SWIM CAPS

Lycra swim caps are a great alternative to silicone caps for several reasons. Our silicone caps are non-allergenic, but lycra provides peace of mind and an option for our customers who suffer from silicone allergies. Lots of people find lycra swim caps much more comfortable to wear than silicone. Still, Lycra caps are not waterproof like their silicone or latex counterparts, so they will not keep your hair dry or protected from chlorine but is easy to put on and an easy fit for long and short distance swimming. Lycra makes for the perfect, comfortable, recreational or racing cap. Kids enjoy wearing our comfy lycra caps for play and sport, with tonnes of colours to choose from to show off their unique style in the water.

SWIM CAPS FOR KIDS

Little swimmers hitting the beach, pool or swimming lessons will benefit from snug-fitting swim caps to protect their hair from chlorine and keep it out of their way while learning to swim or enjoying the water. With options of both lycra and silicone caps, your kids can find the fit they find most comfortable without falling off! Our range of kids’ swim caps come in a range of funky colours and styles they’ll love, as well as including cool features like non-allergenic silicone, embossed insides and durable designs. Choosing a snug fit for your young swimmers is important; you want them to be clear of any visual impairment from loose strands of hair but also want to make sure that their caps are not fitted too tightly and end up giving them a headache! Whether your children are budding racers, competitive water sport enthusiasts or just love their time in the water - swim caps are the perfect way to make their training and play easier.

SILICONE SWIM CAPS

SILICONE SWIM CAPS

Silicone swim caps are the performance choice for racers, offering protection from chlorine by being waterproof and a tight yet comfortable fit. Our silicone swim caps are non-toxic and non-allergenic, so even people who typically react to silicone items can wear them comfortably during their water activities. Our silicone caps fit most adults, and we have a selection of fun coloured designs for kids, too! Silicone swim caps fit more snugly than lycra ones but can be less comfortable for some people to wear for long periods of time, so it may take some getting used to during training and play.

RECREATIONAL SWIM CAPS

RECREATIONAL SWIM CAPS

Our swim caps are all suitable for recreational water sports and play. From helping to keep hair dry to support a faster, streamlined swim, we have snug-fitting caps suitable for all ages and requirements. Our recreational caps come in so many colours you will find it hard to select just one and in fun designs for the kiddies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I PUT MY SWIM CAPS ON CORRECTLY?

We strongly recommend cupping your hands inside your cap, slowly stretching the cap out and onto your head. This method avoids fingernails piercing the cap. Do not, under any circumstance pull the sides of a silicone cap down over your head, as this will most likely tear the silicone. No matter how you choose to put your cap on, the most important thing is to make sure you know where the seam is meant to go. The seam is meant to line up with the middle of your forehead and end at the nape of your neck. Putting it on so that the seam stretches ear to ear is not a good idea and will mean your cap won’t fit properly. Make sure the cap is securely in the middle of your forehead and not placed too high; too high means it could slip off mid competition or swim. If you aren’t too fussed about keeping your hair dry, wetting your hair a little or the inside of the cap before you put it on can help it to stick to your head more efficiently.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY SWIM CAP?

Looking after your brand new swim cap properly will help you to extend their lifespan. Silicone caps are known to last several years with regular use and regular care. Our top tips for looking after your swimming caps are: > Wash it in new freshwater after each use to rinse your cap off from any chlorine, mineral, salt or other things found in open water or pools. If you leave swim caps with chlorine and salt on them, those minerals can end up degrading your swim cap over time. > Dry your cap properly before putting it away > Sprinkle a little bit of baby powder on the inside of your cap to help absorb any moisture, to keep the cap stretchy and dry, ready to use next time! > Keep swim caps out of the sun while not in use to avoid degrading and fading damage.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I RECEIVE MY SWIM CAP AND IT DOES NOT FIT?

With our range of caps, due to hygiene reasons, we can only accept returns if the cap has not been worn, ie if you have changed your mind about the colour. Send them back to us unused, with all the stickers still on, and in the original packaging that it came in within 30 days, and we'll provide you with a refund minus shipping. We want to make sure you find your perfect fit, so consider your head size when selecting the right cap. If you aren’t sure, get in touch with us, and we can help guide you through the most appropriate choices.

WHICH SWIMMING SPORTS DO YOU NEED SWIM CAPS FOR?

Any sport of recreational activity that takes place in or underwater benefits from wearing a silicone swim cap if you don’t want to get your hair wet. Clear visibility, free of loose hair, underwater is hugely beneficial for swimming in both the ocean and pool environments. Great quality swimming caps are suitable for competitive and recreational swimming, water polo, open water swimming, water volleyball, synchronised swimming, surfing, and water skiing. Kids become more confident while learning to swim with the assistance of caps keeping their hair out of their faces, removing the fear of lack of visibility underneath the water as they swim. Being able to see underwater makes pool games and investigating the ocean more fun for kids, too!
